Minecade is a game in which players must find a way to reveal a series of numbered squares without accidentally triggering an explosion. If you wish to try your hand at a speedrun of a minesweeper map, there is a timer available for that purpose as well.
How To Play
A space can be exposed by tapping it; however, the first space to be uncovered is never a mine. You can “lose” (be eliminated from play) if you touch a mine, so be careful to avoid them. Flagging a spot requires holding it for an extended period of time. Because of the random nature of the riddles, there is no way to guarantee victory.
Rules
A hint of zero indicates that there are no mines in the immediate vicinity of the cell, regardless of direction.
Tips and Tricks
- It’s a complete roll of the dice if you pick a single number as your starting point.
- If you come across a large cluster of numbers in one click, you should highlight any hints that are located in neighbors with only one diagonal white cell. You can now safely reveal the cells next to any 1 clues that are near the flag, as these 1s have been transformed into 0s. It’s worth one less clue if it’s next to the flag.
- In the event where the sum of the white cell counts immediately around a given cell is equal to the number of white cells in that cell, then that cell is mine.
- A cell is secure if its number of flags exactly matches its number of cells, UNLESS you made a mistake.
